Optimise your week with the Gardin Brief
This summer we’ve launched the weekly Gardin Brief. This provides you with a plant-driven update on your cultivation as well as recommendations to improve it! All the insights are based on the existing real-time plant feedback within the Gardin app, but this report focuses on the longer term cultivation developments.
Here’s what you can do with it:

Immediately identify which areas of your operation need attention and get informed recommendations of how to fix any issues.

Get a deep understanding of your lighting strategy and identify which aspects need improvement, whether that’s DLI, photoperiod or intensity.

Observe which times of the day your climate strategy is having a positive or negative influence on photosynthesis so you can make adjustments to your heating and ventilation.
Your consultant should be plant driven
This report is available today from your account manager who can provide you with a weekly update on what to focus on for the upcoming week ahead.
We think the Gardin brief adds a helpful plant-driven lens to evaluate your cultivation with your crop consultant. Make sure to share it with them when discussing changes to your strategy.
One more thing…
We didn’t want to leave you without a new feature! So we’ve also added new Crop Morphology insights to the Gardin Brief. This contains two brand new metrics to track plant development that growers love:

Light Interception Fraction - the fraction of ground area covered with leaves (0-1) which forms the basis of the other well known metric, leaf area index.

Individual Leaf Area Change - the relative change in observable area of an individual leaf.
These two insights give you a real-time view of physical crop development including canopy expansion and leaf thinning/expansion. This is especially important at the start of the season to track how the plant is filling out and later in the season to make sure it is maintaining its vigour.
